How times passes when you're not even paying attention. You grow up, don't notice, and look back. Suddenly, everythings gone. Summer '10 passed in a blur, a good blur, though. I hardly remember how it all went, but it was fun and crazy. Summer '10, I'd finally established myself, and was ready for the next year at HBS. Then suddenly, Easy and I ended up in California. Across the coast from where we were before. How? I'm still wondering the same thing.
"Alliiieee," Easy called in a girly sing-song voice from across our apartment. He rushed up behind me, as I finished packing up the kitchen, and wrapped his arms around my waist kissing the top of my head as he towered over me.
"Yes, Ease?" Chances are, he didn't actually have any reason for calling my name, he just wanted to annoying.
"Nothing, just wanted to hear your voice." He was cute, undeinnably cute in fact. I hopped onto the counter, smiling.
"I don't want to leave, Easy." My smile turned to a frown as I thought of going back to New York and having to try to get back into HBS. "You remember all the trouble I had to go through to get back into HBS last time I missed enrollment and all that. Junior year is important for college and here I am missing it all in Cali." I shook my head trying to clear my head of these thoughts.
"Calm down, I'm sure with a reasonable donation from my father we can get you back in." As it turns out, Bree and Easy's father quite enjoyed my company and supports Easy's relationship with me 100%. I actually convinced him that being an artist was a respectful career these days and with Easy's talent and skill he will one day be regarded quite like he is.
His donation comment did serve it's purpose; it made me smile. "Kaaay, Ease. I don't think your daddy likes me that much."
"Oh yes he does. He loves you more than I do." He smiled at me that way he does when he's making a mean joke.
I slapped his forearm almost falling off the counter. And walked over to where I was, wrapping his arms around my waist; I rested my head on his shoulder breathing slowly.
"We'll get you back to New York safe, sound, and very soon. You'll be back in school before you know it."
"I love you, Ease."
"I love you, too, Allie."
xx Allie
